The Circuits Laboratory |
The Circuits Laboratory is located in the Woodmar Building, Room #106. In the Circuits Laboratory, students have access to electronic equipment, computers, and software used in the design, synthesis and testing of analog and digital circuits. The lab is used for electrical engineering courses including:
- ENGE 220 Digital Logic Design
- ENGE 250 Electrical Circuit Analysis
- ENGE 311 Electronic Devices and Circuits
- ENGE 312 Applications of Electronic Devices
- ENGE 420 Microprocessors
- ENGE 460 Microwave Engineering and Applications
Students construct a wide variety of circuits on breadboards and have all of the necessary instruments to test their designs. The lab also serves other engineering courses that require a circuit to be built as part of an assignment or group project. The lab equipment consists of ten complete electronics stations, featuring 200 MHz Tektronix digital scopes and PC-based data acquisition systems, along with the digital multimeters, function generators, frequency counters, FPGA boards and power supplies. Each station is also equipped with a computer that contains a variety
of electronics design software.
Many thanks to our Industrial Partners for helping us to equip a state-of-the-art circuits lab.
